With bows to the past and vows for the future, the Bristol, Tenn., school district has launched its fundraising campaign to renovate the Stone Castle, Tennessee High School’s famed but crumbling 76-year-old stadium. The Stone Castle remains the main playing site for Tennessee High football and soccer games, but has gone years without major improvements: The school district is seeking the $3.2 million to carry out a three-stage renovation that could be completed in two years.
